DETROIT ROCK CITY 1999

A group of friends who are fans of the band Kiss have tickets to see them in concert. But due to life they lose them and they will have to find a way to fulfill their dream.

The story is set in 1978, rockers and disco fans hate each other, Kiss is considered a satanic band and even the church opposes it.

At the beginning I didn't like the reaction of a lady who thought she was about to listen to a record of a band and by accident one of Kiss, I thought her reaction was too exaggerated and also how she tried to unplug the device instead of just pressing the "off" button. But then I understood that that's the nature of this movie, an exaggerated and funny story.

It has its good moments, like when one of these guys has to dance in a bar (gay I think) to get money. Or the other guy who wants to rob a kid but it turns out that the kid has a brother named "chongo" who is much stronger and bigger than him.

I know there's not much of a connection, but this movie is a hell of a lot better than the other one Kiss has "Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park" which I thought was so much crap I can't even remember what it was about.
