Wednesday is a series that premiered in 2022 on Netflix. As you will notice. It follows the experiences of the Addams' daughter. That particularly sinister family.
I must say that the same had a very marked success. I was even surprised to hear people I know personally talking about it (rarely does this happen to me) however I also noticed that many people complained about it. Saying they ruined the character and various other things.
I honestly didn't love the series. I can't tell you that there was anything in it that left me wanting to know more about this Wednesday, so I don't understand why it was so successful either. Haters say it's because Wednesday is so "unique and different" I don't know.
The story is about the Addams' daughter, who after taking revenge on one of her schoolmates and almost killing him, they decide to send her to an institute for special kids like her. There she meets Enid, a girl totally different from her with whom she must share her room.
In this institute there is something that is killing the kids. Nobody knows what is going on and Wednesday decides to investigate.
Here we discover that Wednesday has visions when she touches certain people.
I honestly don't want to make this review too long. The part where she investigates bored me a bit. And in parts I didn't understand what was going on, I think this is because I started to dissociate at times haha. Even so, the series is aimed at a young teenage audience (I'm 28) and I think it fulfills what it promises. I didn't love it, but I don't think it's to despise it as some people do on social networks. It only has 8 chapters and I think most of the target audience could like it.
